The short answer is that KN95 and N95 have been shown to be roughly equivalent. KN95 is an equivalent Chinese standard to the American standard N95 or the European FFP2. KN95 masks are not approved by the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), but the FDA issued an emergency use authorization for KN95 masks during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.

We spend around a third of our lives asleep, and most of us put effort into getting the best sleep we can. Apart from looking for the right bedding and nighttime environment, a great technique to improve sleep is to use a wearable sleep tracker. We obviously can’t know what we’re doing when sleeping, so wearing a sleep tracker on the wrist or finger can provide information on physical activity during sleep, which can be a good indicator of sleep quality.

Even though it’s really scary, air pollution Halloween costumes are rare due to the tendency for pollution to be invisible. This Halloween, Molekule set up a house of horrors haunted with pollutants to spread the word about the silent but violent threats lurking around your house.

When you think about the air quality in your home, you’re probably more focused on indoor air pollution than moisture content. However, the amount of water in the air, also known as relative humidity, can impact your health and home just as much (or more) than many types of air pollution.

In the fall of 2020, downtown Los Angeles suffered the worst smog it had seen in almost 30 years when ozone pollution spiked to 185 parts per billion. For many, it was a bleak reminder of the pervasive yellow-brown haze that used to hover over the city. Thanks to its geography and notoriously heavy traffic, LA has a long history of severe air pollution (so much so that during much of the 20th century, the city itself became synonymous with “smog”).

Allergy triggers are substances in our environment that cause an allergic reaction. Though some of the symptoms overlap, an allergic reaction is a very specific event in your body and is different from an infection, intolerance, or poisoning.

Molekule is very pleased to announce our latest innovation in the science of clean air, a new filter that combines the destroying power of PECO with the particle capturing efficiency of HEPA. Our new PECO-HEPA Tri-Power filter captures more than 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns in size, offering true HEPA protection against fine particles. In addition to these two layers of protection, activated carbon further reduces VOCs in the air.

Seasonal allergies affect up to 30% of the global population, making allergy symptoms extremely common among adults and children. A seasonal allergy develops when your immune system overreacts to something in your environment, whether it's burning bush in the fall or grass pollen in the spring.

Walking through life with a stuffy nose can kind of feel like wading through deep water. Congestion may cause brain fog, ruin your sleep, and make even the simplest tasks seem overwhelming. Grocery stores and pharmacies stock shelves and shelves of over-the-counter treatments for sinus problems, but many medicines may be too strong for regular use and come with unwanted side effects.

The Fungus Kingdom contains a very wide variety of lifeforms just as diverse as plants, animals, or bacteria. We typically group fungi into three groups- invisible microscopic single-celled yeastmold with invisible spores but obvious large colonies, and the species that produce the large fruiting bodies known as mushrooms.

No one enjoys a heat wave. Sure, they’re uncomfortable, and the high temperatures can make it feel like you’re living in a furnace. But the real threat of heat waves comes from the danger they pose to public health. Heat is the number one weather-related killer in the United States, and even non-fatal exposure can lead to dehydration, exhaustion, and, worse, heat stroke.
